| Craig Hutt Vater was
born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated salutatorian from
Hartford Public High School. Craig attended the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst on a full academic scholarship and completed his undergraduate degree in
Economics and Political Science. He began his career in education as a Social
Studies teacher at Leland and Gray Middle and High School in Townshend, Vermont.
After receiving a master's degree in educational administration from the
University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Craig served as the principal of Windham
and Marlboro Elementary schools in southern Vermont. He was also the
Director of an international summer arts program in Maine. Craig enjoys
outdoor activities like hiking and cross-country skiing and has traveled
extensively participating in service learning trips to Russia, Mexico and the
Dominican Republic. Craig currently lives in Shrewsbury, Vermont with his
wife Kelly and their three children. |
